These new chairs are copies of a popular Thomas Chippendale inspired design of 1780 or so that originated in England. This chair features beautiful carving on the back in an entwined ribbon motif. The carving is done like a church window - it allows light to pass through at an angle so giving a delicate appearance while being strong at the same time. They are made of solid plantation-grown honduras mahogany. The set consists of 2 armchairs and 6 sidechairs - extra sidechairs may be added if required. These hand-carved chairs are made in exactly the same way as the originals by the same supplier who has been making chairs and other fine mahogany furniture for me since 1990.

These chairs will be made for you - please specify whether you want the traditional Rich Mahogany stain or an equally rich brown Antique Walnut stain which has less of a red tone. A neutral cream damask is normally supplied for the upholstery, and the seats lift out so you can easily re-cover them with your own fabric at a later date. 6 chair seats can be covered by only 2 yards of fabric 54" wide, so you can splurge on something special!

The price includes delivery to your home by a "white glove" furniture delivery service. Allow 12-14 weeks for production and delivery from the date of your order.
